Lockheed Martin UK has created a virtual network of businesses to allow small UK-based companies, specialising in cyber-security and other information, communications technology expertise, to obtain support and investment for the development of new technologies and markets.

Working in partnership with The VTC Group, Lockheed Martin has created a Virtual Technology Cluster (VTC) that brings together industry, academia and the investment community.

Lockheed Martin’s VTC will provide small, specialist businesses with access to a ready-made ecosystem of capital, professional services and suppliers relevant to their field. Through a multi-tiered arrangement, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will have the ability to trade with larger companies and benefit from growth support as well as shared intelligence, experience and ideas.

The Company launched this new initiative in 2015 to accelerate innovation, boost growth and allow innovative cyber-security and other information, communications solutions, created by the UK’s SME community, to grow and mature in order to realise secure cost and operationally effective ICT solutions for Customers.

Member companies operate in:

  • Cyber Security
  • Multi-intelligence Fusion
  • Service Offerings – Security-cleared Architects, Cyber and Cloud Consultants, Penetration Testers, Network Engineers and Data Scientists
  • Big Data Analytics
  • Situational Awareness and Decision Support.

Lockheed Martin has long recognised the importance of cyber-technology and has invested significantly in developing capabilities to protect its global business and customers against potential threats.

Tier 2 Sponsors of the Lockheed Martin VTC are complementary corporations wishing to enhance their access to UK based innovation. Working in partnership with Lockheed Martin, each Tier 2 Sponsor will have access to the member companies within the VTC and will be able to engage in commercial relationships with a subset of their choice. Tier 3 Sponsors are industry specialists in areas of critical importance to high-potential, entrepreneurial companies wishing to scale up, providing value-add services and mentoring/coaching support to VTC Member companies.

If you are interested in becoming a Tier 2 or Tier 3 sponsor company, please contact Auriol Stevens, CEO The VTC Group via virtualtechnologycluster.lmuk@lmco.com

The benefits to SME companies of joining the VTC include gaining access to a secure virtual community, to Tier 3 expertise and to the supply chains of the Lockheed Martin, The VTC Group and Tier 2 sponsors at no cost and without the need to relocate to a campus or other physical cluster. In addition, there will be a number of annual conferences and seminars designed to provide access to all tiers of sponsorship and networking opportunities amongst your peers.

If you are interested in applying for membership of the VTC, please complete your details below and someone will contact you shortly.

Our Cyber Security Capability in the UK

Today's governments and businesses face complex security risks and challenges. Relying on traditional firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption alone are not effective against the evolving threats. Limiting risk to data before attacks occur is accomplished through risk assessment and management.
