CADDET

LMUK recently delivered the new generation Air Defence Detachment Trainer to the British Army on time and within budget.

The Close Air Defence Detachment Engagement Trainer (CADDET) shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2 provides training for the Starstreak High Velocity Missile (HVM) weapon.

CADDET enables the two man HVM team, weapon aimer and tactical controller, to train together and includes simulation of the Air Defence Alerting Device (ADAD)/Air Defence Command Information System (ADCIS), simulated binoculars and an Instructor/Operator Station.

It simulates a 360° virtual world and training scenarios that are viewed through the HVM weapon sights and simulated binoculars and are projected onto large screens with dimensions depending on the particular configuration.
