ASCENT SIGNS CONTRACT WITH MOD FOR NEW UK MILITARY FLIGHT TRAINING SYSTEM

Ascent, a joint venture of Lockheed Martin and VT Group, has today signed the contract which will see it provide military flying training to the UK Armed Forces for the next 25 years. The initial contract is valued at £635 million and is projected to rise to approximately £6 billion over the life of the programme.

Lockheed Martin Corporation (NYSE: LMT) today reported first quarter 2008 net earnings of $730 million ($1.75 per diluted share), compared to $690 million ($1.60 per diluted share) in 2007. Net sales were $10.0 billion, an 8% increase over first quarter 2007 sales of $9.3 billion.

Lockheed Martin Corporation (NYSE: LMT) today reported fourth quarter 2007 net earnings of $799 million ($1.89 per diluted share), compared to $729 million ($1.68 per diluted share) in 2006.  Net sales were $10.8 billion in both the fourth quarter of 2007 and 2006.  Cash from operations for the fourth quarter of 2007 was $420 million, compared to $333 million in 2006.
