LOCKHEED MARTIN RELEASES DEFENCE SYSTEMS EQUIPMENT INTERNATIONAL MEDIA BRIEFING SCHEDULE

Lockheed Martin today released its press-briefing schedule for the Defence Systems Equipment International (DSEi) Show. The company has planned an impressive exhibit in the main hall which will feature programmes and demonstrations covering key capabilities including air and missile defence; weapons systems; sensors; naval systems; information superiority; training and simulation; and platform integration.

To complement the exhibit, a Merlin HM Mk1 will be on display on the flight deck of the Type 23 Frigate, HMS Lancaster.

In addition to scheduled media briefings, Lockheed Martin President and Chief Operating Officer, Robert J. Stevens, will give a keynote address to DSEi delegates during a plenary session at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, 12 September. Mr. Stevens, Robert J. Coutts, the executive vice president of Lockheed Martin Systems Integration, and Ian R. Stopps, the chief executive of Lockheed Martin UK Ltd., will be the Corporation's senior representatives at DSEi.

The press-briefing schedule:

Tuesday, 11th September

10:00 a.m. -- Peter Schultz, president of Lockheed Martin UK Integrated Systems, and Rod Skotty, vice-president of Business Development for Lockheed Martin Canada, will discuss the company’s role in providing the maritime helicopters of the future and how Lockheed Martin plans to assist the Canadian Government with their Maritime Helicopter Project. 3:00 p.m. – Mike Burke, director of International Business Development, Apache Weapons Systems for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, will give an overview of the Horizontal Technology Insertion project to include both Rotary and Fixed Wing Electro Optical Sensors. 10 a.m. – Jim Cravens, director of International Business Development for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, takes a look at the Patriot Advanced Capability –3 (PAC-3) Missile project discussing how it is advanced, affordable and ready now. Venue; DSEi Press Briefing Room 1

1:00 p.m. – Tom Douglas, director of Radar and Sensor Systems Business Development, Lockheed Martin Naval and Electronic Surveillance Systems – Radar Systems, presents "First to Know," a briefing on the latest developments for the AN/FPS-117 and AN/TPS-77 radars. Venue; DSEi Press Briefing Room 1

2:00 p.m. – Simon Hargreaves, JSF X-35B Chief Test Pilot, gives his overview of the recent STOVL tests in a presentation entitled ‘Proof through Performance’. Venue; DSEi Press Briefing Room 1 3:15 p.m. – Jon Schreyach, manager of International Business Development for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, gives a presentation on our launcher Modernisation work including M270A1, MLRS and HIMARS. Thursday, 13th September

10:00 a.m. – Captain Adrian Whyntie, RN, UK CEC IPT Lead, will describe the importance of the UK Cooperative Engagement capability to the Royal Navy. Gren Lamb–Hughes, managing director of Integrated Systems, Lockheed Martin UK Integrated Systems, and Carey Smith, vice president of International Business Development, Lockheed Martin Naval Electronic and Surveillance Systems, will then describe the company’s proposed role on the UK CEC programme. 11:00 a.m. Mark Gaspar, director of International Business Development for Lockheed Martin Naval Electronic Surveillance Systems, will present "COMBATTS The Modern Surface Ship Command and Control System". Venue; DSEi Press Briefing Room 1
