Lockheed martin at farnborough international airshow 1998

3 September 1998

Lockheed Martin Corp.’s presence at Farnborough International '98 will be dominated by one theme - our commitment to Global Partnerships. No aerospace company in the world offers the breadth of capabilities and technology leadership of Lockheed Martin. With over 125 co-operative alliances covering 70 programs in 47 countries, Lockheed Martin is the aerospace and technology company partner of choice.

Once entering our "Partnership Pavilion" at the show, you will experience a company with a range of capabilities, the financial strength and global market access necessary to ensure success in the defence and commercial marketplaces. Our exhibit, featuring collaborative ventures and programs from aeronautics, electronics, space, information technologies and systems integration, showcases our commitment to the global market through world-wide partnerships, superior technology and our dedication to 100% mission success.

The Exhibit will be arranged in ten thematic areas ranging from Tactical Aviation, Battlefield Management, Naval Systems, Tactical Electronics, Missiles Systems and others. Feature programs include ASTOR surveillance program, the C-130J Hercules tactical transport, the F-16 Fighting Falcon, the Merlin and Apache helicopter programs and future development efforts, such as the Joint Strike Fighter.

Exhibit highlights will include a Project Rainbow interoperability demonstration; a fully functioning F-16 advanced cockpit simulator; a LANTIRN night vision and targeting cockpit display; a systems integration exhibit featuring the defence systems integration for the U.K. Royal Navy EH-101 Merlin helicopter and training system; and numerous displays of missiles, tactical weapons, radar, air traffic management and space systems.

A multi-media theatre will be the site of a live report via-satellite on the F-22 flight test program from Edwards Air Force, California. The report - scheduled for Monday, Sept. 7 at 1:00 PM - will be one of nine press conferences planned for the Pavilion theatre.

You are invited to our Partnership Pavilion, across from our chalet (Row D 10-15), or watch this space and we will bring the excitement of the air show to you.

Farnborough International ‘98 will be held from Monday, September 7 through Sunday, September 13. Hours are from 9:30 AM until 6:00 PM. Monday is both Press Day and the first Trade Day. Trade Days continue through Friday, September 11. Saturday and Sunday, the 12th and 13th respectively are Public Days.
